Teaching children how to believe in themselves

Self-perceived competence is your child’s belief that they are able to do things on their own. As caregivers, there are lots of ways that you can help to build your child’s “can do” attitude. Increasing their belief in their own skills will not only improve their ability to face challenges on their own, but also can lead to more independence, higher self-esteem, improved mental health, and greater social and academic success!
